Indian Stock Market Holidays List 2022: The Indian stock exchanges – National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) have published a list of holidays for the stock markets in 2022. According to the list published by NSE on its website, there are a total of 16 trading holidays this year. In addition to that, the trading remains closed on Saturdays and Sundays every week. On these days, any trading will not happen on the equity sector, equity derivative segment and SLB segment.
The market timings of the Indian equity segment are divided into three sessions. The first is the pre-open session which opens from 9:00 hours till 9:15 hours. Thereafter, the regular trading session takes place from 9:15 hours to 15:30 hours. The closing session is between 15:30 hours and 16:00 hours.
The stock exchanges might change or alter any of the holidays given in the list and any such changes will be notified through a separate circular issued in advance. Muhurat trading will be conducted on Monday, October 24, 2022. The timings of the Muhurat trade will be announced through notifications subsequently.
