Mumtaz Sorcar, known informally as “Pratiti Sorcar”, is an Indian actress. She is the youngest daughter of the famous PC magician Sorcar Junior and Jayashree Devi. Mumtaz began her career with a music video for Bangladeshi singer Mehreen. She appeared for the first time in Bengali film 033 directed by Birsa Dasgupta.
She had studied at the modern girls’ high school in Kolkata. She graduated from BA.LLB from South Calcutta Law College of Calcutta University. Sport is his hobby. As an athlete, she trained in boxing at the South Kolkata Club in the Bengal Amateur Boxing Federation. She also trained in judo. She is also a classical jazz dancer. She is also a gold medalist in the YMCA shot put.
His first film was 033, which was directed by Birsha Dasgupta. She also signed a film about Tollywood and appeared in No Poblem (2007), directed by Shoumik Sen. The film is currently in post-production and should be released in 2012.
