Prem Kumar, known as Prem, is an Indian actor who works in Kannada films. He made his film debut in 2004 through the film Praana. However, he gained a lot of recognition and won the Best Actor Filmfare Award for Nenapirali in 2005. He is popularly known as Lovely Star in the Kannada films.
Prem Kumar is the eldest son of a mechanical weaver. He graduated from Kalyani School and joined Indian Telephone Industries Limited, after which he worked as a weaver like his father for 13 years after graduation. Speaking of his interest in films from his childhood, he said: “I would spend more than half of my income on film viewing, film magazines, books and newspapers. I have no film training as such, but I used to watch 150 to 200 films a year in theaters.While I started working after school, I watched 3-4 films a week. watched three movies a day.
