    Travis Ruffin, a well-known person and the founder of Ruffins Service Center, died on February 25, 2023. He was 33 years old. Reports say he was drinking and driving in Wilson, North Carolina when he lost control of his car on Interstate 64 which led to his death.

    People are paying tribute to Travis Ruffin after his unexpected death on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Since he started a successful auto repair shop like Ruffins Service Center, many people have been surprised by his death. Travis Ruffin’s friends and family have all turned to social media to remember him and honour his life.

    Travis Ruffin Dies In A Car Accident

    According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Travis died in a single-vehicle accident in the early hours of Saturday. His cause of death resulted from factors such as speed and alcohol. The North Carolina Highway Patrol department has launched a detailed investigation into how the accident might have unfolded.

    • The single-vehicle wreck happened at 4 AM near the intersection of N.C. 58 and U.S. 264 Alternate. Travis Ruffin was driving a 2011 Dodge Charger at a dangerous speed of over 100 mph which made him lose control of the car.
    • The car flipped over several times before hitting a ditch and Ruffin was ejected out of the car through the sunroof which resulted in serious injury. Upon arrival at the Wilson Medical Center, Ruffin was pronounced dead.

    Highway Troopers added that nobody else was involved in the accident as Ruffin was alone in the car. The Wilson native was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

    According to his obituary, Travis Ruffin’s funeral service will be announced at a later date and has been entrusted to the Stevens Funeral Home, located at 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

    Family Remember Travis Ruffin On Social Media

    Travis mother, Michelle McCoy Jones, revealed the news in a heartbreaking Facebook post she shared on her page. In the post, she wrote:

    Lord I am wishing and praying that I was having a very bad dream and today everything is normal.
    Lord I know sometimes we take life for granted. Just when we don’t expect that this will happen to us all over again but my son is gone and my 💔is broken. God tell me what to do to get it Right with you cause I’m losing my babies one by one. I’ve cried and prayed so much to you that I’m starting to wonder are hearing me. Lord please continue to bless me and my family through all this pain!!!

    Shateraa Moneek, dating Travis, wrote a post about his death and talked about how sad she was. Most tributes and condolences say that Ruffin was a leader in his area and a nice person. In this post she wrote:

    I thought I knew what hurt was before… but I have NEVER in my life felt this!!! 💔 I’m hurt BEYOND explanation🥲 Travis baby… I love you then, now, and ALWAYS! FOREVER rocking how you rolling💯

    Tributes Paid To Travis Ruffin

    One person who knew Travis wrote on Facebook that he was “literally the kindest person in the world and would give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice.” I know you shouldn’t question God, but I’ll never be able to get over this. Travis Ruffin, I love you so much and am so sorry! I can only hope to see you again in another life.”

    In another moving homage, a family member wrote, “Travis Ruffin, you were so important to many. I love you, cousin, and I miss you and being with you. When you were around, there was never a dull moment.” Another person said he was one of “the most humble people I’ve ever met” and added, “Bro, I can’t believe I’m putting R.I.P. after your name!”
