WhatsApp web can make typing long messages a lot more comfortable. Since you’re on your computer already, it’s not uncomfortable at all to reply to a message. So, you open up WhatsApp web to use it like you always have, but for some reason, it doesn’t work this time.

Before you go ahead and uninstall it for good, there are some tips you can try to fix it. The tips are beginner-friendly, so that way, you don’t have to call your techy friend to help you. Let’s see what those tips are to get WhatsApp web working again.

How to Fix WhatsApp Web When It Doesn’t Work

It may not happen very often, but it’s worth looking into. Maybe there is an issue with your Internet connection. You can see if you can detect the problem using the  Internet Troubleshooter. You can access it by going to:

    • Start Menu
    • Settings
    • Update and Security
    • Troubleshoot (on the left-side menu)
    • Additional Troubleshooters
    • Internet Connections
    • Run the troubleshooter to start the process

If all is well with your Internet connection and WhatsApp Web still won’t work, you can try resetting it.

    Reset WhatsApp Web

You can also try resetting the app. You can do this by right-clicking on the Windows Start button and going to Settings. Once you’re in Settings, go to Apps and features. Find WhatsApp and click on it. You’ll see the Advanced options option you need to click on in blue.

On the following windows, scroll down until you see the reset button, Click on Reset and see if it’s up and running again. If this doesn’t work and you have some time on your hands, you can also try uninstalling the and then reinstalling the app.

Close WhatsApp Web Using the Task Manager

Open the task manager how you are costumed to opening it. You can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Esc or search for it in the search bar. Once it’s open, click on the More details dropdown menu if it’s not open already.

When you first open the Task Manager, you might see WhatsApp listed. If so, click on it and then click on the End task button at the bottom right.

One last thing you can try is to make sure that your phone and computer are connected to the same WiFi network. If you only have one, then this is not going to be a problem, but if you have access to more than one, you might want to make sure.
